No - all of the newer houses at Silver Creek Estate are modular homes which means they are prefabricated and built to Ontario Housing Building Codes. You can't simply hook up a vehicle and drive them out. The construction means they are well insulated and involve easy maintenance.
There are still a few 'trailers' in the lower section of the park. They are being replaced when they get to their used by date.
You own your unit and other structures (sheds and garages) but you lease the land from the landlord (company). There is a monthly rental fee for this, plus water and land taxes (which they pay and you get a receipt for tax purposes). The land taxes and rental fee are deductible for income tax purposes.
Yes! You can have two dogs and there is no weight limit. You must keep them on a leash when outside at all times. You can have cats but they must be kept inside.
If they are outside and going to attach to the house, you need to get the landlord's consent and then a building permit from the Township of Severn. If they are inside and do not directly affect the structure, then go ahead.
